Deriving from the latin “tractare”, Trataro in Greek means to offer food and drinks to a guest. An al fresco dining experience, is set up around the crisp waters of Vedema’s newer and highly imposing pool, a space committed to the essence of elegance and the resort’s constancy to Cycladic architecture. Bathed in the warm sun of Santorini, Trataro serves unobstructed views of the emerald vineyards surrounding the resort, creating an original backdrop within the wine country of Megalohori, an area regarded as the Tuscany of Santorini.

A light interpretation of passed down, classic Mediterranean comfort food, is served here in the shape of beloved Italian recipes: seafood pasta, crudo with capers and sun-dried tomatoes, vegetarian bruschetta, steamed mussels with finocchio, the Italian kitchen is incarnated through local produce, unique to the volcanic soil of Santorini. Interweaving all the elements that have been engraved in the village’s heritage into the fruit of the very same land, Trataro brings to life a collection of brilliant Italian flavors.
